GIVE KID A BOOK MAY 2023

“You can share your love of reading with the others. Don’t just buy a book, donate one too.”

We at Marietta Dental Smiles organized a book drive in May 2023 called “Give Kids A Book”. Thank you so much to our patients, team, and neighbors who donated more than 500 books. We are able to donate those books to local schools, Public Libraries, and Schools in India.

This Idea started when Dr. Gudipati asked his two kids to donate the books they were not reading to donate to someone less fortunate, to his surprise they gave more than 20 books. This sparked the idea of collecting books from our own team members kids, neighbors, and our own awesome patients which got us to more than 500 children's books to distribute.

Dr. Gudipati went to India for a family vacation in May 2023 and donated two big suitcases full of books to local elementary school kids. Books are expensive in India and the gift of these books helps the school kids with learning, entertainment, and happiness. Dr. Gudipati said he saw a great joy in their eyes when the kids got a book they can have for themselves.

We believe donating books gives the gift of learning, helps the underprivileged, and recycling helps the environment. Thanks again to our wonderful team and all our awesome patients who donated and made this event a great success.

Give Kids A Smile Event 2023

Marietta Dental Smiles proudly participated in the Give Kids A Smile program. It is a nationwide initiative aimed at providing free dental care and education to children in need. The program was created to address the issue of untreated dental problems in low-income and underserved communities.

The program is supported by a network of volunteer dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants who provide dental screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and other preventive services to children who might not otherwise receive them. In addition to providing dental care, the program also includes educational components that teach children about the importance of oral hygiene and healthy habits.

The Give Kids A Smile program has made a significant impact since its inception, providing care to millions of children across the United States. It has helped to reduce the incidence of untreated dental problems, which can lead to more serious health issues down the line.

The program has also raised awareness about the importance of dental care and the need for access to affordable services, especially for children who come from low-income families. By providing free dental care and education, the Give Kids A Smile program is helping to promote the health and well-being of children across the country.

Dr. Gudipati and his team of dental assistants and hygienists at Marietta Dental Smiles worked hard to provide Free X-Rays, Dental examination, Cleanings, Topical Application of Fluoride and Oral Health Education.

Marietta Dental Smiles Annual Toys for tots 2022

United States Marine corps runs this great campaign which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. This is our nation’s flagship charitable program started over half a century ago. Toys For Tots not only benefits children, but also has a positive impact on communities. We believe Toys For Tots address the issue of poverty among children.

We became Official Toys For Tots collection site for 2022. We chose to do Toys For Tots Campaign as it is a very effective program that brings joy to kids during this wonderful time of Christmas.

We are very proud to be part of this campaign in Marietta, Ga as it plays an important role in the development of our children who are our most valuable resource.

Toys for Tots at Marietta Dental Smiles made a small contribution to better our community and also bring Joy and happiness to the children in need. We really appreciate the turnout of donations from our patients, team members and neighbors.
